FARES
MATINICUS = $50 person one way on days I have scheduled trips
CRIEHAVEN = $ 55 person one way on days I have scheduled trips
On days that I do not have scheduled trips, you can usually arrange one.
Fare - One Way: 1-3 people = $200 total to Matinicus, $220 to Criehaven
4-16 people = $50 person to Matinicus, $55 person to Criehaven
There is an additional fee for early morning or early evening departures
If the departure times on the schedule are not convenient, other times can
usually be arranged.

There is a maximum of 16 passengers plus crew allowed on each trip.
Luggage and freight per passenger is limited to the amount the passenger
needs for a maximum of a 2 week stay. If you have a large amount of freight
please let me know beforehand. Extra charges or limits may apply. Please
limit the weight of your bags to a maximum of 50 pounds
SPECIAL RATES FOR 9 - 16 PEOPLE
If you have a large group, the fare is a total of $400 one way for up to 16
people. To qualify for this special rate you have to make your reservation at
least 12 hours in advance and payment is made by one check or one credit
card
PUFFIN TRIPS TO MATINICUS ROCK - leaving from Matinicus or Criehaven
The cost is $ 105 total for 1 - 3 people, $ 35 person for 4 - 16 people.
Children 5 years old or under are free. The trip lasts about one hour.
Matinicus Rock Lighthouse can be seen from the boat along with many other
bird species. Seals are almost always seen. Puffins are at Matinicus Rock
from May to around the third week of August.
PUFFIN AND BIRDING TRIPS TO MATINICUS ROCK - leaving from
Rockland.
These need to be scheduled in advance and the trip lasts 3-4 hours. Please
see the "Birding" page for info.
FREIGHT RUN - for construction supplies or just lots of stuff. Cost is $300
one way from Rockland to Matinicus or Criehaven. Up to 6 passengers are
included in the fee if there is room.

2010 DAY TRIPS FROM MATINICUS
PUFFIN TRIP TO MATINICUS ROCK - We leave from Matinicus and head
for Matinicus Rock. We then slowly circle the Rock for about ½ hour observing
Puffins (from May through mid – August), seals and many other birds. Porpoise
and whales are sometimes seen. Total trip time is around one hour. Fee = 1 – 3
passengers = $105 total, over 4 passengers = $35 a person. Children 5 years old
or under are free.
CRUISE AROUND MATINICUS – We take a leisurely cruise all around
Matinicus observing the beaches, cliffs , birds, and possibly seals, porpoise and
whales. This cruise takes about one hour. Fee = $100 total for up to 16
passengers.
DAY TRIP TO VINALHAVEN – Matinicus to Vinalhaven and return to
Matinicus. Explore the art galleries, restaurants, shops and grocery store. Fee =
$200 total plus $50 hour waiting time while you are exploring. Maximum 16
passengers.
MONHEGAN DAY TRIP – Matinicus to Monhegan and return to Matinicus.
Explore the art galleries, restaurants, store, museum, lighthouse and trails. Fee =
$350 total plus $50 hour waiting time while you are exploring.
ISLE AU HAUT DAY TRIP – Matinicus to Isle Au Haut and return to Matinicus.
Walk around this beautiful harbor, visit the store, bike to the National Park. Fee
= $250 total plus $50 an hour waiting time while you are exploring. Maximum 16
passengers.
FISHING TRIPS: All gear is provided. COD = $150 total for 2 hours. Extra
time is $75 hour Cod jigs are $10 each if lost. POLLOCK = $75 Hour.
Maximum of 3 people fishing at a time. Maximum of 6 passengers on board
